Meet the Director
Nick Evans is the Director and Senior Oracle Instructor/Consultant at Support Technology. He is one of Australia’s most experienced Oracle Consultants and Instructors with specialist skills in Database Technologies.
After completing a Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Education from the University of Queensland in 1977, Nick launched his career in Education and IT with Queensland Department of Education. Within this role, Nick introduced many of the new SQL based technologies, that are now found prevalent in our modern day database systems. From here, Nick moved into a lecturing role at The University of Queensland specialising in Database Technologies and Operating Systems.
Nick then joined Oracle’s Brisbane office as a founding member in 1988 before joining the Oracle USA team specialising in pre-sales, education and consulting. In 1999, Nick joined NCube specializing in Oracle Databases and Video Streaming applications.
Nick returned to Brisbane in 1993 and established Support Technology where he continued to work with Oracle University. Over the past twenty years, Nick has delivered Oracle University training in Australia, New Zealand, India, USA, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, The Philippines, China, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. Additionally, Nick has provisioned countless consulting engagements to various customers over the previous decades. In recent times, Nick has invested time and resources in building a new methodology in the Audio/Video space.
